Five more people have been forcibly disappeared from Kech and Quetta, while seven previously disappeared persons, including women, have been recovered from different parts of Balochistan, according to families and local sources.
According to sources, Pakistani forces, Frontier Corps (FC) and Military Intelligence (MI) personnel detained three people from their homes in the Buleda area of Kech on the morning of 6 August and subsequently disappeared them.
Those missing include Yasir, 18, son of Haji Nek Sal; Shay Haq, 20, son of Bashir Ahmed; and Saifullah, 24, son of Zahoor Ahmed.
Yasir and Saifullah are residents of Kaur Pusht in Buleda, while Shay Haq is a student and resident of Dambani, Buleda.
Meanwhile, two cases of enforced disappearance were reported from Musa Colony in Sariab, Quetta.
Muzammil, 19, son of Abdul Majeed, was detained from his home at around 4:00am on 28 July, while Jaleel, 17, son of Saleem, was detained from his home at around 6:00am on 7 August and subsequently disappeared, sources said.
Both were reportedly detained by personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Military Intelligence (MI).
Separately, seven people previously reported missing have been recovered in different parts of Balochistan.
Mohammad Baloch, son of Habash, and Azam Baloch, son of Ahmed, who were forcibly disappeared from Panwan in Jiwani, Gwadar, on 11 July, were recovered on 7 August in their native area.
Mohammad Arif, Bibi Rafia and Bibi Nida, who were reportedly detained and disappeared from Mastung on 21 July, were recovered in the same area on 6 August.
Muzaffar, son of Dr Ahmed Khan and a resident of Kharan, was recovered from Quetta on 6 August, nearly one year after he was forcibly disappeared on 7 August 2025.
Mohammad Faizan, son of Abdul Hameed Qambarani, who had disappeared from Killi Qambarani Sharifabad in Quetta, has also been recovered.
The reports came as the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons’ (VBMP) protest camp against enforced disappearances continued outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,324th day on Tuesday.
Relatives of Beebarg Qambarani, who has been missing since his reported detention by Pakistani forces from Killi Qambarani in Quetta on 25 December 2025, participated in the camp and demanded his safe recovery.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said the cases of Qazi Mohammad Umar Nechari and Mohammad Sudais Langove had been submitted to the commission established to deal with missing persons and the Balochistan government.
He said Qazi Mohammad Umar Nechari was detained by forces from Killi New Nechari near the Sui Gas office on Samungli Road, Quetta, at around 2:45am during the night between 29 and 30 July and subsequently forcibly disappeared.
Similarly, Mohammad Sudais Langove was detained by personnel of state institutions from Mohalla Langove Abad on Madrassa Road in Killi Ismail, Quetta, at around 3:30am during the night between 19 and 20 May and moved to an undisclosed location.
Nasrullah Baloch called on the government to ensure the safe recovery of all missing persons, including Beebarg Qambarani, Qazi Mohammad Umar Nechari and Mohammad Sudais Langove.
“If there are any allegations against them, they should be presented before a court so they can exercise their legal right to defend themselves,” he said. “Their families should be spared the anguish caused by the enforced disappearance of their loved ones.”
Pakistani authorities had not issued statements on the latest reported disappearances at the time of publication.
