The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of two fighters it said were killed during a clash with Pakistani forces in the Dasht area of Kech on September 1.
The BLA’s media wing, Hakkal, identified the fighters as Younus Sabzal alias Malguzar, a resident of Sahib Dad Bazaar in Dade, Dasht, and Doda Baloch alias Sarbaz, from Kulanchi Pada in Gwadar.
The BLA said both fighters were active on the Seyaji front and were killed in what it described as a “fierce clash” with Pakistani forces.
Younus Sabzal, son of Sabzal Bizenjo, joined the BLA on February 5, 2025, and subsequently served on the Seyaji, Kulbar and Zamuran fronts, according to the statement.
The BLA described Younus as a “highly capable and courageous fighter” who remained active under difficult combat conditions and demonstrated his battlefield abilities during confrontations with Pakistani forces.
It said he participated in several military operations and attacks and was wounded during “Operation Herof II.” After recovering from his injuries, he returned to the front and resumed his activities, the statement added.
According to the BLA, Younus worked on different fronts across Makuran and “fulfilled his responsibilities” at each one. It added that he remained committed to organisational discipline throughout his time with the group and made what it described as significant sacrifices for the Baloch national struggle.
It said he would be remembered as a courageous fighter who “gave his life for the freedom of his homeland.”
The second fighter, Doda Baloch alias Sarbaz, was the son of Ibrahim Baloch and a resident of Kulanchi Pada in Gwadar.
According to the BLA, Doda joined the organisation in 2026 after embracing what it described as the “political, ideological and state-building objectives” of the Baloch national freedom movement.
He subsequently became active against Pakistani forces on the Makuran front and was deployed to the Seyaji front, the statement said.
The BLA said Doda completed its military training courses and carried out his assigned responsibilities with commitment. Although he was a new member of the group, it said he quickly adapted to changing battlefield conditions and became actively involved on the front.
The statement said he also participated in patrols and other organisational activities in the area where he was deployed, describing him as a “capable and promising fighter.”
The BLA said Doda confronted Pakistani forces on several occasions and remained actively involved in the group’s operations until his death.
It described him as courageous and fearless, saying he made organisational discipline central to his conduct.
The BLA said Doda’s sacrifices would be remembered alongside those of other fighters who “placed their homeland and national freedom above their own lives.”
