Two more people have been forcibly disappeared in Balochistan, while five others who had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance have returned home, local sources and family members said.
According to sources, Ali Baloch, son of Abdul Hayee, was detained and forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in Mastung at around 3 a.m. on 23 August 2026.
Meanwhile, the family of Shakeel Baloch, son of Zardad, said he was forcibly disappeared from his home in Killi Goharabad on Sariab Road, Quetta, at around midnight on 16 April 2026.
The family accused personnel from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of involvement in his disappearance.
Both individuals remain missing, and their families have received no information about their whereabouts.
Separately, five other people who had previously been subjected to alleged enforced disappearance have returned to their homes.
They include Saud Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed and a resident of Alandur, Buleda, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Alandur on 4 September 2026 and returned home the following day.
Saddam Bugti, son of Mahot Khan, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Dera Bugti’s Main Town on 29 August 2026, returned home on 3 September.
Zubair Ahmed, son of Noor Ahmed, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Hub Chowki on 30 July 2026, returned home on 2 September.
Imdad Shahwani, son of Rauf Shahwani, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Quetta on 30 August 2026, returned home on 3 September.
Jehanzeb Baloch, son of Abdul Samad, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Panjgur on 9 July 2026, returned home on 2 September.
Local sources said many cases of enforced disappearance in Balochistan are reported only after significant delays because of alleged state pressure, fear and other obstacles, raising concerns that documented figures may understate the actual number.
