The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said on Friday that “Operation Almas” in Gwadar had concluded after its fighters held the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) camp at Zero Point for 20 hours, claiming dozens of Pakistani military and intelligence personnel were killed.

In a statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the operation had achieved “all of its planned strategic, military and economic objectives”. The group also named seven of its fighters killed during the assault.

The BLF said its fighters targeted offices and camps of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) inside the FWO compound. It claimed senior officers, Special Service Group (SSG) personnel and regular army troops were among those killed.

Gwahram Baloch said fighters had repelled military counterattacks and forced armoured vehicles and reinforcement convoys to withdraw. He claimed the camp’s military posts, barracks and administrative offices were destroyed, along with armoured vehicles, surveillance drones and quadcopters.

The statement described the FWO camp as a centre for “colonial projects” in Gwadar and wider Makuran region.

“Without the will and consent of the Baloch nation, colonial projects in Balochistan will never be safe,” it said.

Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), meanwhile, said on Friday that 10 attackers, including a woman, had been killed in operations following Thursday’s attacks in Gwadar city and near the Gabd border crossing.

It said one civilian was killed and a few vehicles were damaged, adding that its operations had concluded “without any loss to forces”.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had said on Thursday that Pakistani forces had foiled an attack on an unoccupied construction company camp in Gwadar and killed three attackers.

The BLF rejected Naqvi’s announcement as “a failed attempt to hide its defeat”. In earlier statements on Friday, it said fighting was continuing more than eight hours into the attack and later claimed its fighters still held the camp after 16 hours.

“The Jind-nadr fighters maintain complete and unshaken control of the FWO main camp,” the BLF said in that statement.

Seven Fighters Named

The BLF also released details of the attack that it said allowed its fighters to enter the camp, identifying Mujahid Mehr, alias Sagar Zamurani, as the fighter who carried out a vehicle-borne suicide bombing.

The group said Mehr was killed in the attack, which breached the camp’s defensive perimeter and opened the entrance for other fighters. It paid tribute to him and said the operation would continue until its objectives were achieved.

Friday’s concluding statement named six other fighters killed during the operation as Khalid, alias Zamur; Bilqees Didag, alias Almas; Hamidullah, alias Badil; Shakeel, alias Sohrab; Mujeeb Zeb, alias Aftab; and Nasir Ali, alias Nodan.

The BLF paid tribute to the seven members of its Saddo Operational Battalion (SOB), saying they had followed what it called “the philosophy of the last bullet”.

In an earlier statement on Thursday, Gwahram Baloch said fighters had begun searching inside the FWO camp and were destroying military positions, barracks and administrative offices with explosives.

He said snipers were targeting military reinforcements approaching the camp and claimed several personnel had been killed. Pakistani troops were firing mortar rounds towards the camp from a distance, according to the statement.

Operation Launched on Thursday

The BLF announced “Operation Almas” on October 22, saying the SOB and other units were taking part in coordinated attacks on Pakistani forces at several locations in Gwadar district.

In its initial statements, the group claimed that an MI captain and several SSG personnel had been killed. It also said its fighters had taken control of the FWO camp and raised the group’s flag there.

The BLF said fighters had seized Mazani police station, taking weapons and other equipment, and claimed one police officer was killed during the clash.

It also claimed an attack on a military convoy at Gabd, saying one vehicle was destroyed and several personnel killed or wounded. The group said its fighters had also taken control of the police post at Gabd Cross.

The BLF describes the SOB as a specialised unit assigned to attack “strategically important targets” requiring advanced planning and strict organisational discipline. It says the battalion includes fighters prepared to undertake “self-sacrificial” operations.

The unit was publicly introduced during an attack on a compound in Nokkundi, Chagai district, on November 30, 2025.

The BLF said its fighters entered the compound, which housed foreign engineers and staff associated with the Saindak and Reko Diq mining projects, and remained there for more than 24 hours.

In its latest statement on Gwadar, the BLF said final, detailed figures for casualties and damage would be released later.
