In the ongoing wave of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, four people have allegedly been forcibly disappeared from different areas of the region, while five individuals who had previously been reported missing have been recovered.

According to reports, Sanaullah, son of Mohammad Anwer, was allegedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Khadkocha, Mastung, at approximately 9:00 a.m. on 1 September 2026 and subsequently forcibly disappeared.

In Quetta, 30-year-old Imdad Shahwani, son of Rauf Shahwani, was reportedly detained by police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel from his home on Haji Qasim Shahwani Street at approximately 7:00 a.m. on 30 August 2026. His whereabouts remain unknown.

In another case, 18-year-old Shamroz Shahwani, son of Munir Ahmed, was allegedly detained from his home in Quetta at approximately 9:00 p.m. on 12 May 2026 by CTD and police personnel and subsequently forcibly disappeared.

Similarly, student Huzaif Shahwani, son of Nizamuddin, was allegedly detained from his home in the same area at approximately 2:00 a.m. on 7 April 2026 by CTD and police personnel and subsequently forcibly disappeared.

Meanwhile, five people who had previously been subjected to alleged enforced disappearance were recovered.

Shakir Baloch, son of Abdullah, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Gishkor, Kolwah, Awaran, on 22 August 2026, was recovered from the same area on 24 August 2026.

Zubair Baloch, son of Mohammad Yaqoob and a resident of Siahozai, Basima, Washuk, was allegedly forcibly disappeared in Karachi on 23 August 2026. He was recovered in Karachi on 31 August 2026.

Saeed Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Surab on 12 July 2026, was recovered on the Main RCD Road in Surab on 20 August 2026.

Similarly, Khalil Ahmed, son of Mohammad Noor, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Surab on 12 July 2026, was recovered on the Main RCD Road in Surab on 25 August 2026.

Saifuddin Baloch, son of Mohammad Iqbal Baloch and a resident of Killi Sarawan, Kharan, was reportedly forcibly disappeared in Karachi on 23 August 2026. He was recovered in Karachi on 31 August 2026.

Sources further stated that many alleged enforced disappearance cases in Balochistan are not reported promptly due to fear, pressure and other obstacles, raising concerns that the actual number of cases may be significantly higher than those reflected in documented reports.
