A 20-year-old female student, Safiya Baloch, from Basima, Washuk, has allegedly been forcibly disappeared after being detained in Quetta, according to her family members.
Safiya Baloch, daughter of Abdul Khaliq, was reportedly detained and forcibly disappeared from Quetta at approximately 1:00 a.m. on 23 August 2026.
According to her family members, personnel from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) were involved in her disappearance and her whereabouts remain unknown since.
Human rights groups noted that cases of enforced disappearances involving Baloch women have increased this year, raising concerns among the public.
