Pakistani forces were targeted in multiple attacks across Balochistan on Wednesday, including reported attacks on military helicopters in Panjgur, IED blasts against bomb disposal personnel in Kalat and Kech, and an ambush on a military convoy in Noshki, local and official sources said.

Local sources said armed fighters targeted military helicopters with heavy weapons in the Chedgi area of Panjgur district, where a military operation has been ongoing since Tuesday.

The sources claimed that one helicopter was damaged in the attack. No official institution or military authority has confirmed or denied the claim.

In Kalat district, personnel of the Pakistani army’s bomb disposal squad were targeted in the Mangochar area while they were on foot patrol, local sources said.

The sources said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device planted by the roadside.

In Kech district, personnel of the FC’s bomb disposal squad were targeted in two separate IED attacks in Tejaban and Wakai, in the Zamuran area, official sources said.

The personnel were carrying out routine road-checking and clearance operations when the explosions took place, according to the officials.

Three personnel were injured in the Wakai explosion and were shifted for medical treatment. No loss of life or property damage was reported in the Tejaban blast.

A third IED attack was later reported in the Minaz area of Buleda, also in Kech district. Sources said a vehicle belonging to Pakistani forces was completely destroyed in the blast, with reports of casualties and injuries among personnel.

Authorities have not released official details regarding losses in the Buleda attack.

Armed fighters reportedly ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces in the Ahmed Wal area of Noshki, near the railway crossing.

Local sources said the convoy, comprising three military vehicles, was passing through the area when attackers opened fire after laying an ambush in advance.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attacks at the time of publication.
