The Baloch “pro-independence” group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released the identities of six additional fighters who it says took part in phase two of “Operation Herof” including attacks carried out in Mastung, Quetta and Noshki.

In a statement issued by the group, the BLA said the individuals were involved in various operations during the second phase of the campaign and provided details regarding their backgrounds, roles and locations where they were killed.

According to the statement, one of the fighters was identified as Sabri Bangalzai alias Sher Zaman. The group said he was 29 years old and belonged to the Killi Sarday area of Quetta. The BLA stated that he joined the organisation in 2024 and became part of the Majeed Brigade in the same year. During the Mastung camp attack, he was serving as the operation commander, according to the group.

The second individual was identified as Aqib Bangalzai alias Lala Tayyab. The BLA said he was 24 years old and hailed from Samalabad in Quetta. According to the statement, he joined the BLA in 2025 and subsequently became part of the Majeed Brigade. The group said he served as the second operation commander during the Mastung attack.

The third fighter was identified as Naimatullah Gurgnari alias Javed, who the group said was from Killi Padda in Mastung district. According to the BLA, he joined the organisation and the Majeed Brigade in 2025. The statement said he was present on the Mastung front during phase two of “Operation Herof” and remained engaged in fighting for several hours.

The BLA also identified Imam Akhlaq Bizenjo alias Honak Baloch among those killed. According to the statement, he joined the organisation in March 2024 and became part of the Majeed Brigade on September 4, 2024. The group said he was from Jhao in Awaran district and was killed during clashes with Pakistani forces near the railway station in Quetta during “Operation Herof.”

Another individual was identified as Qudratullah Kurd alias Majeed Baloch. The BLA said he belonged to the Maro Splinji area of Mastung district. According to the statement, he joined the BLA in 2024 and became part of the Majeed Brigade in 2025. The group said he took part in an operation carried out in Quetta’s Red Zone.

The sixth individual was identified as Mohsin Ali alias Chiragh, who the BLA said was from the Nagor area of Panjgur district. According to the statement, he had been affiliated with the organisation since 2023 and joined the Majeed Brigade in 2024. The group said he participated in both phases of “Operation Herof” and was killed during operations in Noshki.

The BLA has been releasing the identities of fighters it says were killed during second phase of “Operation Herof”, which involved coordinated attacks across multiple districts of Balochistan.
