A lecturer at the University of Turbat’s Computer Science Department and a well-known literary figure, Balach Bali, was taken into custody by Pakistani forces on Wednesday evening and moved to an undisclosed location, according to his family.
Family members said that since the moment of his detention, they have received no information about his whereabouts or the reasons behind his arrest.
According to relatives, Balach Bali was returning home after completing his university duties when forces stopped him near Salala Bazaar in Turbat and took him away.
The family stated that they contacted multiple police stations, Levies posts, and other relevant authorities in Turbat, but officials have not confirmed his presence in custody nor disclosed any charges against him.
Describing him as a serious-minded academic, the family said Balach Bali has long been associated solely with educational and literary work, and they expressed deep concern over his sudden disappearance.
