Pakistani armed forces personnel were targeted in an explosion in the Dandar area of Kolwah, Kech district, on Thursday, according to local and official sources.
Initial reports suggest that the blast occurred when at least nine soldiers were gathered at the same location. Following the explosion, witnesses reported the movement of military helicopters in the area.
Government sources confirmed the incident, stating that one soldier was killed and several others were injured. However, local sources suspect that the number of fatalities could be higher.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. In the past, Baloch armed groups advocating for Balochistan’s independence have claimed responsibility for similar attacks on Pakistani military and law-enforcement forces.
