The cycle of enforced disappearances in Balochistan persists as a resident of Parom was reportedly abducted from the Buleda region.
According to local sources, Nazar s/o Arz Muhammad, a resident of Parom Jaeen in Panjgur, was taken away from Buleda by armed men affiliated with government-backed group, locally known as a “death squad.” His whereabouts remain unknown.
Local sources note that such groups are active in Buleda and surrounding areas, where they have long been accused of involvement in enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch civilians.
Meanwhile, protests against enforced disappearances continue in Quetta. The sit-in camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), led on Monday by the organization’s Executive Committee member Niyaz Muhammad, entered its 5,954th day outside Quetta Press Club.
People from various walks of life visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of the missing and called for an immediate end to the practice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
