On June 29, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson Major Gehram Baloch announced the capture of Muhammad Rahim s/o Haidar, who is described by the group as a “national criminal,” in Gomazi.
According to the BLF, Muhammad Rahim confessed during interrogation to being directly involved in the killing of Tahir s/o Dost Muhammad, in February 2017. He also admitted to involvement in the deaths of young men Miraaj s/o Abdul Qadir, and Kareem Baloch s/o Manzoor, in February 2025. Rahim reportedly revealed that he was paid 20,000 Pakistani rupees as compensation for providing information related to these incidents.
The BLF stated that Rahim had confessed to have been operating under the supervision of a “death squad” member, tasked with identifying and monitoring relatives of Baloch activists. Following these revelations, the group said they executed Rahim on July 20.
The BLF said that, on July 5, its fighters arrested another alleged operative named Shoaib s/o Abdul Majeed, in Nasirabad, Turbat, acting on intelligence from their secret wing. Shoaib allegedly worked for military intelligence (MI) for over a year, with responsibilities including coercing Baloch youth into collaborating with MI and blackmailing them. The BLF claims Shoaib was also involved in the targeted killings of Baloch youth, providing them with weapons and recruiting them for such activities. The group says it has detailed information on those involved and intends to bring them to justice. The group said that based on this information, it’s fighters executed Shoaib on July 10.
On July 1, the BLF said its secret wing carried out an operation in Nasirabad, Turbat, killing MI operative Salam s/o Ghulam Hussain, and seizing his weapons. Salam allegedly worked under the supervision of the district chairman of Kech and the head of the “death squad,” Hotman, and was responsible for surveillance, informing, and killing of Baloch youth. He is also accused of killing Shakee s/o Dr. Naseer under instructions from the district chairman.
The BLF spokesperson declared that the group takes responsibility for killing these alleged operatives involved in anti-Baloch activities in Kech. The group urged local people to provide timely information about state-sponsored “death squads” and those involved in what they call “Baloch genocide,” promising to hold them accountable.
