In fresh incidents, three young men have reportedly been abducted by Pakistani security forces in the districts of Panjgur and Kech (Tump), while protests continue in Turbat over a previously disappeared police officer.

In Panjgur, a young man identified as Changaiz Baloch, son of Yaqoob, was allegedly detained by security forces late on the night of May 26 from the Rahi Nagor area. Local sources and family members confirm that Changaiz has not been seen since, and no legal proceedings or charges have been disclosed. His family expressed deep concern, calling the disappearance a blatant violation of human rights, and appealed to both the government and human rights organizations for his immediate release.

Meanwhile, in the Malikabad area of Tump, forces reportedly raided the locality and detained two other young men, identified as Dileep son of Rafiq and Bilal son of Baqi. Their current whereabouts are also unknown.

Meanwhile, there are protests ongoing in Turbat, where locals are demanding the recovery of Ghulam Muhammad, a Baloch police officer who was allegedly abducted by security personnel while returning from duty near Degree College, Turbat. His family has received no information regarding his detention since the incident.

Turbat, highway blocked in protest

In protest, women-led demonstrations have blocked key routes, including the CPEC highway and the M-8 at Umari-Kahen, halting all forms of traffic. The protest, now in its second day, has left hundreds of vehicles and passengers stranded, cutting off critical travel and trade links in the region.

Local civil society groups and human rights advocates have strongly condemned the disappearances and called on the district administration, particularly the Deputy Commissioner of Kech, to immediately engage with the protesters and resolve the crisis. Despite repeated domestic and international appeals, enforced disappearances in Balochistan continue to rise, sparking growing alarm and unrest across the region.

The situation remains tense as families await updates on their missing loved ones, and protesters demand justice and accountability.
