The Baloch Women Forum (BWF) has strongly condemned a rocket launcher attack on the residence of a civilian, Jangiyan Baloch, in the Balicha area of Tump Tehsil, district Kech. The Forum described the attack as a serious threat to civilian safety and social stability in the region.

In a statement issued on Monday, the BWF claimed that locally active armed groups, commonly referred to as “death squads,” carried out the attack under the alleged protection of law enforcement agencies. The attack reportedly injured three members of Jangiyan Baloch’s family — his son Nawaz Jangiyan, daughter-in-law Ayesha Mulla Raza, and wife Modho Naik Bakht.

“These groups have been given a free hand to destabilize the social order,” the BWF stated. “They function with impunity and are unaccountable due to the backing they receive from state institutions.”

The Forum also raised broader concerns about the security situation in Tump, labeling it one of the most affected areas in Balochistan. It alleged that armed groups in the region are involved in target killings, enforced disappearances, and attacks on civilians, contributing to a worsening state of lawlessness.

The Baloch Women Forum demanded for the following actions:

  1. An immediate end to what it described as “illegal privileges” granted to armed militias.
  2. A permanent halt to human rights violations in Tump and the wider Balochistan region.
  3. A transparent and impartial inquiry into the rocket attack on Jangiyan Baloch’s home, with legal action against the perpetrators.
  4. Medical and financial assistance for the injured and their family.
