Three Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces, alleged state-backed militias, and military checkpoints in multiple districts of Balochistan over the past two days.

According to the statements issued by the groups, the attacks took place in Buleda, Panjgur, Dera Bugti, and Bolan regions. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) also released video footage of a previous ambush in Mashkay.

BLA Claims Killing of ‘Death Squad Leader’ in Buleda

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said its fighters killed Nasir Karim, identified by the group as a key operative of a “state-backed death squad,” during an armed assault in the Alandoor area of Buleda, Kech district.

According to BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, Karim was ambushed on Monday evening while travelling in a vehicle with his associates. He was reportedly killed on the spot, and one of his companions, identified as Zubair, was seriously injured.

The BLA alleged that Karim led a “death squad” operating under the patronage of provincial minister Zahoor Buledi. The group accused the squad of carrying out house raids, enforced disappearances, and extortion in coordination with Pakistani military intelligence.

“Nasir Karim was on the Baloch Liberation Army’s hit list due to his involvement in Baloch-genocidal acts,” the statement said. “Our operations against these collaborators… will continue with greater intensity.”

BLF Claims Panjgur Attack and Releases Video of Earlier Ambush

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for an armed attack on Pakistani forces in the Chitkan Bazaar area of Panjgur on Tuesday.

BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters ambushed security personnel around 1 p.m. while they were collecting supplies, killing two soldiers on the spot.

“The occupying forces, out of fear of Baloch fighters, use civilians for their own purposes, even sending them to buy daily necessities,” the BLF said, warning civilians to avoid association with military personnel to prevent unintended harm.

On Wednesday, the group also released video footage of a separate attack it carried out on 17 February in the Bandki area of Mashkay, Awaran district.

The video shows BLF fighters launching a sniper assault on military personnel stationed near an under-construction road, killing one soldier. The footage then shows reinforcements arriving in two vehicles, which are subsequently ambushed. According to the BLF, five soldiers were killed and seven others — including a senior officer identified as Lieutenant Kashif — were injured.

The video also shows a separate strike on seven soldiers riding motorcycles. All were reportedly killed, one motorcycle was set ablaze, and others, along with a military vehicle, were heavily damaged.

BRG Claims Attack on Checkpoint in Dera Bugti

The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for an armed assault on a Pakistani military checkpoint in the Tobo area of Dera Bugti district.

In a statement, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said fighters used light and heavy weapons during the attack, which caused both human and material losses. The BRG said that such operations would continue “until the liberation of Balochistan.”

Road Blockade Reported in Bolan

Meanwhile, armed men reportedly blocked the Jhal Magsi road near Dhadar in Bolan district for over two hours on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses said the group established a checkpoint and searched passing vehicles before dispersing.

Similar incidents have been reported in recent months. In March, the Baloch Raaji Aajoi Sangar (BRAS), an alliance of “pro-independence” armed groups, claimed to have set up roadblocks at more than 30 locations across Balochistan, disrupting traffic and targeting security personnel.

In a statement, BRAS said its campaign aimed to “continuously challenge the enemy’s structure, speed, and confidence,” adding that “these attacks will continue with greater intensity until the liberation of the Baloch motherland.”
