Pakistani forces have allegedly taken a young man into custody in Quetta, forcibly disappearing him, while in a separate incident, security personnel raided homes and reportedly assaulted women and children.
The disappeared individual has been identified as Nadeem s/o Muhammad Ameen, a resident of Gorjik in Mashkay. According to sources, security officials in uniform abducted him from Isa Nagri, Quetta, between 1:30 and 2:00 AM last night. Nadeem is reportedly a second-year student.
Meanwhile, in another incident, forces surrounded the Killi Qambrani area of Quetta and conducted house raids. During the operation, women and other residents were allegedly subjected to physical assault. However, no arrests have been reported from the raid.
