Another youth has been reportedly forcibly disappeared from Kech district of Balochistan on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
According to reports, Pakistani forces have forcibly disappeared a youth named Balach Hasil during a house raid in the Hothabad area of Tump in Kech district.
Eyewitnesses said that Balach, son of Hasil and a resident of Hothabad, was taken from his home by Pakistani forces without any disclosed reason or official charges. His whereabouts remain unknown as of now, raising grave concerns about his safety and well-being.
The residents of the area have called for an immediate investigation into the disappearance and demanded Balach’s safe return. Activists have also condemned the action, highlighting the ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances in the region.
It is worth noting that enforced disappearances are tragically common in Balochistan, with cases rising on a daily basis. Human rights organisations have repeatedly alleged that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies are behind these abductions, targeting political activists, students, and civilians in the region. Despite consistent documentation of these cases, no substantial steps have been taken to address the issue.
