Two people, including a woman, were killed and three others injured in separate lightning strikes in the Mastung and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, local sources reported on Friday.
In Mastung, lightning struck a house near the Aamach area, east of the city. A woman inside the house lost her life, while three others sustained injuries. Family members transported the injured to the Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Memorial Hospital, located about 10 kilometers away, due to the lack of emergency services in the remote area.
In Khuzdar’s Chashma Zard area of Zehri, another lightning strike killed a man identified as Master Abdul Qadir Musiani, according to local reports.
Authorities have not issued a statement regarding the incidents. However, residents in affected areas voiced concerns about the absence of immediate emergency response services in remote parts of Balochistan.
