Pakistani forces have claimed to have killed two individuals during a military operation in the Kalat district of Balochistan.

According to the military’s public relations wing, ISPR, the forces conducted the operation on the night between September 6 and 7, following reports of the presence of suspected individuals in Kalat.

ISPR claims that after an intense exchange of fire, two suspected individuals were killed, and a clearance operation is still ongoing in the area.

It is noteworthy that just yesterday evening, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have killed five members of an armed group during an operation in the Pishin district of Balochistan.

According to the CTD, in the Pishin operation, Ahmadullah alias Ali alias Badri, Ehsanullah alias Mutawakkil alias Hamid, Samiullah, and two others were killed in an exchange of fire with the forces.

It is important to note that the CTD’s operations in Balochistan have been regarded with suspicion. In the past, media and other sources have proven that encounters involving Pakistani forces and the CTD were staged. Most of those killed in these operations were later identified as missing persons from the Baloch community, and there is also evidence that some of the individuals killed were detainees from religious groups.

ISPR has not yet revealed the identities of the individuals killed in the Kalat operation.
