Five people died in a road accident and ten were wounded when a passenger bus overturned in Uthal city of Balochistan’s Lasbela district.

According to reports, on Wednesday night, a passenger bus going from Karachi to Quetta overturned and burst into flames in the Wayaro area near Uthal.

Hospital and other rescue sources said that five people had lost their lives due to burn injuries and ten others were wounded in the incident.

The injured and the dead bodies were shifted to Uthal hospital, and some critically injured were also shifted to Karachi. While an emergency has been imposed in the government hospitals of Bela and Uthal City.

Humaira Baloch, the Deputy Commissioner of Lasbela said that twenty-eight passengers were on the bus, and many passengers jumped from the bus to save their lives, while the cause of the accident is said to be a collision with a motorcycle, unconfirmed reports said.

The local administration suspended the Quetta-Karachi main highway for traffic flow at Wayaro till late night due to the accident.

Earlier this incident, on the 29th of May, 28 people were killed in a bus accident in Besima when the bus was on its way from Turbat to Quetta.

As per reports, more than seven thousand accidents have occurred in Balochistan this year so far. More than one thousand people have been injured and one hundred and Ninety have died in these accidents.
