Two missing men who were allegedly detained from Gwadar and Quetta by Pakistani forces were released, while a missing transporter was found dead in Qilla-Abdullah district of Balochistan, on Monday.
According to reports, missing Jahanzaib son of Imam Baksh, a resident of TTC Colony Gwadar, and Shay Haq Baloch safely reached their homes after months of detention.
Shay Haq Baloch’s family has confirmed his return.
It should be noted that six people including Shay Haq were allegedly detained by Pakistani security forces; out of which five have been released while Farooq Baloch still remains missing. While Jhanzaib was detained last year in August 2023.
However, on one hand, Two of the missing persons were released but on the other hand a missing man Abdul Muhammad Aduzai who went missing one month back from Quetta, was found dead in the Gulistan area of the district. After killing him, his body was dumped in an old well, the police sources said.
Furthermore, sit-in protests for Baloch missing persons are continued in Quetta and Turbat cities of Balochistan. Participating in the protest, Rukhsana Dost Baloch, the sister of the forcibly disappeared Azeem Dost Baloch, a resident of Gwadar, appealed to Baloch political activists, families of missing persons, and other people from all walks of life to join the sit-ins in Quetta and Gwadar to express solidarity with the families of the missing persons.
Rukhsana Dost appealed to the human rights groups to play their role in the safe recovery of all the “Missing Persons” including her brother Azeem Dost Baloch and help the families to relieve this long collective pain and agony.
