At least ten people, including Baloch student activists, lost their lives while four suffered injuries in various traffic accident in different districts of Balochistan on Sunday.
According to reports, five Baloch students lost their lives in deadly traffic accident near Windar on the Quetta-to-Karachi RCD highway as they were heading towards Lasbela for a picnic. The resulted collision between a Mazda truck and Suzuki vehicle killed six students at the spot while three others suffered serious injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Sohail s/o Haji Khalid, Shayhak s/o Haji Mandost, Shoaib s/o Muhammad Akram, Tariq s/o Sadiq, Shahab s/o Rahim Bakhsh and Zahir s/o Muhammad Ayyub, residents of Panjgur district, while the injured were identified as Yahya and Sameer.
The injured in the deceased were shifted to Karachi Trauma Center for further medical assistance.
Baloch Student Action Committee (BSAC) expressed its condolences over death of its active members, Sangath Zahir Baloch, Shahab and Shoib Baloch, in the aforementioned accident.
A separate accident occurred near Hub Chowki’s Sakran Road when a high-speed dumper struck a motorcycle. The incident resulted in the immediate deaths of two young individuals, Faizan s/o Iqhat Ali and Farhan, aged 25 and 22, respectively. Following the collision, a 21-year-old Rajab s/o Nisar Ahmed and another person were injured and quickly transported to the local government hospital by ambulance.
On the other hand, 12-year-old Syed Ali s/o Abdullah, resident Chaman, lost his life after being hit by a load truck in Chaman.
Moreover, Akhtar Muhammad s/o Baloch Khan died on the spot after falling from a tractor trolley in Loralai district. His dead body has been handed over to his family after required medical procedure at Loralai Hospital.
