The same policies that provoke protests in Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are now being enforced in Sindh too. Hidayat Lohar, a key figure in Sindh’s nationalist politics, was forcefully disappeared for the months, after hus release he was killer in a targeted attack. and subsequently killed. It seems a futile attempt to stop activisim of his daughters. However in response, a wave of resistance politics is anticipated in Sindh, mirroring the movements seen in Balochistan and Pakhtunkhwa.

Since Pakistan’s creation, Sindh has been a stronghold of resistance politics, echoing a resolute voice against dictatorship. Sindh played a pivotal role in movements like MRD, democracy restoration, and opposition to Musharraf’s regime. The people of Sindh, resilient against state oppression, now rally politically under the leadership of Hidayat’s daughters Sasai and Surath Lohar, following the footsteps of Baloch resistance.

In the contemporary era, suppressing movements through force is not possible. While various tactics were attempted to silence voices in Balochistan, but now the voices in the Parliament of Great Britain condemn state oppression against the Baloch. People will opt for political resistance against the coercive policies hindering political movements. If state repression persists in Sindh, there is a foreseeable shift towards public resistance among Sindhis.
