A Baloch youth was forcibly disappeared by armed plainclothes personnel from Gwadar, the coastal city of Balochistan, on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday

According to reports, unidentified plainclothes personnel allegedly forcibly disappeared a Baloch youth during a road blockage in Gwadar city and subsequently moved him to an undisclosed location. The missing youth has been identified as Balach Baloch son of Rauf Baloch, a resident of Gwadar city.

The witness told the TBP correspondent that the youth, along with a friend, was returning home after closing his shop when he met with the tragical fate. Sources added that the youth’s colleague was also tortured when he resisted Balach’s abduction but was left on the roadside, due to security reasons, the eyewitness requested that his name not be mentioned.

The sources alleged that the youth was abducted by the state-sponsored militias (locally known as Death Squad). Notably, the “Death Squad” headed by Imran, a resident of Dasht, has been involved in enforced disappearances of people from the city in the past.
