Pakistani forces have reportedly suffered casualties in several attacks in the Kech and Gwadar districts of Balochistan in the last 24 hours.

According to reports, unidentified armed men attacked a post of the Pakistan Army located in the Siahdem area of Kech’s Zamuran. Sources said that the forces have suffered casualties in the attack. However, the position of the authorities has not yet been revealed.

Similarly, unidentified individuals targeted a checkpost of the paramilitary Frontier Crops (FC) 168 wing in Turbat’s Taleemi Chowk. According to eyewitnesses, two ambulances also reached the scene soon after the attack.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for tonight’s two attacks.

Meanwhile, The “pro-independence” Baloch armed group Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) took responsibility for two separate attacks against Pakistani armed forces, including a navy camp in Turbat and Anti-Narcotics forces in Gwadar.

In a media statement, Major Gwahram Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLF, said that their fighters targeted the head office of Anti-Narcotics in the New Town of Gwadar on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. He said that the Anti-Narcotics Force played an important role in activating the Death Squads consisting of the local drug mafias, who are directly involved in the abduction and martyrdom of Baloch people.

In another statement, the BLF said its fighters attacked the northern security post of the navy camp in Turbat, the central city of Kech. The group added that BLF fighters attacked the post from very close range with automatic weapons, injuring two personnel and damaging the post. “After the attack, the forces continued to fire on the general population,” the group said.

Meanwhile, another “pro-independence” Baloch armed group, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed to have targeted a station of informants in Gwadar in a hand grenade attack on Friday night. In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand identified the men as Rizwan Husnain and Abdullah and alleged that both informants were working for the “enemy” forces under the garb of shopkeepers.
