Two police personnel were killed after unidentified armed men opened fire on officers deployed to provide security to a polio vaccination team in Nushki district, police said.
Nushki Station House Officer (SHO) Munawar Ahmed identified the deceased as Yasir Ahmed and Abdul Rauf.
The attack took place in the Jamalabad area, where the two personnel had been deployed for security during the polio vaccination campaign.
The attackers took away their weapons after the shooting and fled the area.
The bodies were shifted to Teaching Hospital Nushki for medico-legal formalities.
No group had claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of publication.
