This seismic event comes in the wake of recent earthquakes that rattled regions of Nepal and India. Notably, in Nepal’s Jajarkot district, seismic activity led to the collapse of buildings, resulting in 128 deaths and injuries to many, highlighting the vulnerability of the region to such natural disasters.
