A gas pipeline was blown up in Pirkoh Field of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district on Sunday suspending gas supply to various areas.
According to reports, unidentified individuals targeted gas pipeline by planting explosives in the Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti. Soon after the explosion, Levies Force and other law enforcement agencies personnel reached the area of the blast and launched a search operation.
Meanwhile, the repairing of the damaged portion of the gas pipeline has begun to restore the supply immediately.
In a media statement, a “pro-independence” Baloch armed group, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the attack and vowed to target Pakistani forces and its installations until the “indpendence of Balochistan”.
