In a recent release from the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party), the group provides a detailed account of the ongoing conflict in Bakur and the Medya Defense Zones, alleging that the Turkish army is attempting to suppress information about its losses. According to the PKK, the Turkish army has been suffering significant casualties in 507 guerrilla actions in the month of September alone, but this information is allegedly being concealed by the Turkish special war media.

The PKK’s report for the month of September reveals a grim picture of the conflict:

  • Turkish army airstrikes: 149
  • Alleged use of chemical weapons: 2
  • Alleged use of banned explosives: 5
  • Alleged use of tactical nuclear bombs: 1

The PKK also reported the loss of five of their comrades during this period and claimed to have conducted various guerrilla actions, including ambushes, infiltrations, coordinated attacks, sabotage, and assassinations. They further stated that the Turkish army has faced substantial losses, with 150 occupiers reportedly “punished” and 38 injured.

In terms of equipment, the PKK claimed to have destroyed drones, grenade throwers, surveillance camera systems, thermal surveillance camera systems, banned explosives, and various positions used by the Turkish army. Additionally, they noted equipment damage to helicopters, scoops, positions, a cable car system, a van, a howitzer, and an armored vehicle.

The PKK’s release underscores the intensity of the ongoing conflict and accuses the Turkish army of waging a “dirty and immoral war.” The Turkish government has not yet responded to these allegations.
