A young man was reportedly abducted from the Kech district of Balochistan on Wednesday night.

According to reports, the youth identified as, Hakeem s/o Dad Baksh was forcibly disappeared allegedly by Pakistani law-enforcement agencies.

The family of the victim blocked the CPEC road in the Tejaban area in protest against his enforced disappearance. The protest caused long queues of vehicles on the highway.

Hakeem’s family said that “last night [wednesday] Pakistani forces raided their house and forcibly took him to an unknown location.” The victim’s family also claimed that during the raid, the Pakistani forces “tortured women and children in the house.”

The protesting family members demanded authorities for Hakeem’s immediate recovery and warned that otherwise, the sit-in protest will continue.

However, the local authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
