According to a report released by the Amnesty International South Asia, the organization is concerned about the enforced disappearance of a student from Lahore city of Pakistan. The Amnesty demanded the Pakistani law enforcement forces to produce the Baloch student. If he is not in their custody then they should find out where he is, the amnesty said.

The report states that the student should be presented in a civil court and given a chance to get justice.

It may be recalled that the footage of the abduction of a Baloch student named Beebarg Imdad came to light on Wednesday. The video of the incident went viral on social media in which the alleged personnel of Pakistan secret services are forcibly putting the student in the car while they are accompanied by the police and security guards of Punjab University.

Beebarg was studying English literature at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). The Baloch students staged a sit-in protest in front of the University administration office against the enforced disappearance of their fellow student. The students alleged that the university administration and Police are also involved in handing over Beebarg Imdad to unknown persons.

On the next day of the incident, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD confirmed the arrest of Beebarg Imdad on charges of involvement in the Karachi University attack on Chinese Nationals on Tuesday. But the CTD has not provided details of his whereabouts and the case filed against him.

A sit-in protest by Baloch students against the illegal arrest and disappearance of Beebarg continues at Punjab University, where another video of baton-charge of Baloch students by university guards has come to light.

Amnesty has taken notice of the harassment of protesters by the administration. Amnesty in its report further said that violence against peaceful protesters at Punjab University today is an inhuman and illegal act and the right to peaceful assembly should be protected.

The Amnesty International concluded its report with calling on Pakistani authorities and institutions to conduct an impartial and effective investigation into the violence acts and enforced disappearance of Baloch students.
