A two-day science and art exhibition program was held in a government boys school in tehsil Tump of district Kech. The exhibition was the first of its kind – male and female students enthusiastically participated in the contest, each presenting a handmade model or a sketch in an attempt to bag the first prize.
According to the details, the science and art exhibition was presided by Fida Baloch, the principal of the school where the program was held. Academics, social activists and workers, male and female students and the general public attended the exhibition. A significant number of students participated in the contest, each presenting their own handmade model or a sketch of something, like the human body or any other organ, like the heart, eyes and ears.
Andalib Gichki, a political science lecturer, activist and author, addressed the gathering, saying that despite the paltry resources at their disposal, both male and female students prepared commendable models and sketches. This is evidence of their mastery and expertise, she said.
Professor Zaheer Illahi congratulated the participating students and said the presented models and sketches are laudable. He said that such exhibitions and programs should be promoted to encourage the Baloch students to show their latent talents and capabilities.
Principal Fida also addressed the gathering, promising that the exhibition program will be conducted next year with much better preparedness. He also distributed awards among the winning participants.
