Veteran Baloch activist Mama Qadeer Baloch said on Sunday that the Pakistani security forces executed four Baloch missing persons in a “fake encounter” in Marwar area of Bolan. He called the incident “heart-wrenching” and said that the world should break the silence and speak up now.

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons completed 4351 days of protest in front of the Quetta Press Club on Sunday. National Party Leader Shamma Ishaq and several others visited the camp to express solidarity with the mother of missing Naseebullah Badini and the families of other Baloch missing persons.

Speaking at the occasion, the VBMP Vice-Chairman Mama Qadeer Baloch called the alleged confrontation between the Pakistani forces and Baloch “pro-independence” fighters fake, saying that the Pakistani forces had deliberately executed four Baloch missing persons in a fake encounter and then termed it a confrontation.

He identified the four victims as Ali Baig s/o Daai Khan, Khairo s/o Shahmeer, Murad s/o Nihaal Khan, Murad Baksh s/o Noor Khan and Mullah Maado Mazarani. Mazarani, a resident of Quetta, was abducted when the Pakistani security forces raided his house in Quetta’s Jattak Stop, he said.

He said that the said individuals were shot in the head at point-blank range. This further undermines the forces’ claim that the victims were killed in a confrontation. He said that the victims had a long beard and dishevelled hair, which are the telltale signs of someone who has been in detention for years.

Mama Qadeer Baloch said that his organization is actively working to collect all the details of the people who are missing from different areas of Balochistan, especially the remote areas where the families of the victims of “enforced disappearances” have no means to communicate their message to the rest of the world.

He said that the execution of Baloch missing persons by the Pakistani security forces is “alarming.” The world should break its silence and speak up against such incident, he concluded.
