Mir Abdul Nabi Baduzai Bangulzai, alias “Chota Mir”, a senior commander of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and a veteran warrior in the Baloch struggle for independence, was killed in an attack by armed men on Thursday morning. Since his assassination, Baloch “pro-independence” leaders took to the social media to pay their tribute to the senior commander of Baloch Liberation Army.
Bashir Zeb Baloch, chief of BLA, paid homage to his companion in a tweet, saying: “Martyr Mir Abdul Nabi Bangulzai, a brave and great warrior, will always be remembered for his gallantry and war skills. Inspired by Mir Abdul Nabi’s bravery, Sagaar Ameer Baksh had advised his friends to bury him in Kaabo – the birthplace of Abdul Nabi Bangulzai.”
He continued: “Death of our comrades will in no way deter us from our path, it is now impossible for the coward enemy to weaken our movement.”
Dr Allah Nazar Baloch, senior commander of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), tweeted: “I pay rich tribute to Mir Abdul Nabi, a senior Baloch freedom fighter. He was well known for his patriotism and hospitality. Today he was murdered by Pakistan Army hired assassins. A great loss to the nation indeed.”
Gulzar Imam Baloch, senior commander of Baloch Republican Army (BRA), also paid tribute to “martyr” Mir Abdul Nabi Bangulzai in a tweet, saying: “Mir Abdul Nabi Bangalzai’s long armed struggle against Pakistani occupation will always be remembered in Baloch history. Due to his short proximity, I saw him as a kind teacher. The blood of the Young Sana Bahar, Mama Bugti and Mir Abdul Nabi Bangulzai’s blood will prove to be wrath in armed struggle.”
