The Balochistan government has decided to install trackers system in 316 Quetta-Karachi passenger coaches to check the over-speed.

The decision made at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Friday.

In the meeting the Secretary of transport briefed about the increase of traffic accidents and over speeding issue on Quetta-Karachi route.

Whereas, the Balochistan government has also decided to launch a transport scheme in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan. Project is known as ‘green bus scheme.’

Under the Green Bus project, the Quetta city has been divided into two portions. The local administration will set up two bus terminals—Jinnah Road and Airport road. From Serena hotel Chowk to Belili, 11 bus stop would be set up.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister said the launching of green bus service in other cities o Balochistan should also be reviewed. “In the first phase, 2 buses should be started for women in the city,” CM directed.

It is to mention that 10s of people lose their lives on a daily basis due to traffic accidents in Balochistan.
