Sher Muhammad Bugti, the central spokesman of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) said that a protest in Bonn, Germany, was organized by the German branch of the party against ongoing military operations in Balochistan and the resulting serious human rights violations.

BRP activists Abdul Jalil, Jahangir Rahim Bakhsh, Dur Mohammad, Jamila Abdul Rasool and Hafeez Baloch, who took part in the protest, said that military operations continuing across Balochistan where civilians are being targeted with combat helicopters and modern military weapons.

They said that the military operation has been going on for the last several days in different areas of Awaran, Kech, Noshki and Kharan where reports of massive loss of life and property of civilians have been received. While thousands of people have already been forcibly displaced in Balochistan. More innocent people have been reported missing as a result of the recent military operations.

BRP Activists have appealed to the European Union and the United Nations to play a role in stopping the serious human rights violations in Balochistan.

Whereas, a couple of months earlier, two shepherd were killed allegedly by the Pakistani forces in Mashkay. However the deceased were not ascertained at that time.

Meanwhile Balochistan’s largest “Pro-independence” political party, Baloch National Movement (BNM) released an aftermath video of the incident and termed the incident as the war crime of Pakistani forces.

According to description, both the victims are brothers and identified by the names of Wajo and Shoaib sons of Muhammad Omar, who were shepherds and were “martyred” while they were grazing their cattle. Wajo and Shoaib belong to the family of an elderly Baloch, Waja Saaho, whose family’s 7 members were “brutally killed by Pakistani army” in an aerial bombardment in December 2012.

As per BNM, due to lack of media access, such news don’t reach to people and such incidents become horrible memories and nightmares for the residents.

It is to be recalled that human rights groups and local activists allege Pakistani forces of committing grave human rights violations in the region. However, amnesty and other Rights groups including the UK have expressed concerns over human rights violations in Balochistan.
