President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi has received notice from twitter for tweeting on Kashmir issue.

According to details, President Alvi and many other Pakistani politicians have been quite active on social media about Kashmir issue, which includes criticizing and condemning Indian government.

Alvi sent a message through twitter to the citizens of his country on Pakistan’s national day, saying, “fully utilise social media to expose the heinous crimes committed by India against Kashmiris.”

Later on August 24, he had tweeted a video which showed unrest in Kashmir.

About the video, Zee News, an Indian news channel reported that much like many such false videos being promoted by Pakistanis, this too was a done with a mala fide intent.

Pakistan has been extremely frustrated at having failed to mobilise world opinion in the aftermath of India revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Most of the world has agreed that it is an internal issue of India. Peace has prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir, adding to the woes of Pakistan that has made a habit of waging proxy wars using terrorists, Zee News said.

According to The News a Pakistani newspaper, Scores of Pakistani social media users have complained in the past few days that their accounts were suspended when they spoke in favour of Kashmiris or highlighted Indian human rights abuses.

Twitter has reportedly suspended 200 Pakistani accounts commenting on Kashmir situation.

Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor last week said the authorities had taken up with Twitter and Facebook the alleged suspension of Pakistani social media accounts posting in support of Kashmir, The News reported
