Two persons were abducted from Awaran district of Balochistan on Wednesday.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Pakistani forces have conducted military operations in Jhao, Kalato, Nodo Bazar and Sorh areas of district Awaran.

As per the locals, forces have arrested two men during the raids and moved them to an undisclosed location.

The abductees have been identified as, Kareem Bakhash s/o Gul Mohammed and Mohammed Iqbal.

“The military operation still continues and several more have been abducted by forces but their identification has not been ascertained yet”, local sources.

Whereas, another mutilated dead body was discovered from Chaghi district of Balochistan on Wednesday.

Body was moved to Dalbandain hospital for identification.

Dead bodies have been discovered time to time from different areas of Balochistan for last two decades approximately, most of them are identified as missing persons whose families have been protesting for more than a decade now.

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group by families of Baloch missing persons, claimes that more than 40,000 Baloch men, women, and children are under Pakistani forces custody.

VBMP also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed and dumped over last one decade.

Balochistan: 12 more unrecognizable dead bodies buried in Quetta

An International human rights organization Amnesty International in a statement published in February 2011 stated that “The Pakistan government must immediately provide accountability for the alarming number of killings and abductions in Balochistan attributed to government forces in recent months”.

Amnesty has termed this as ‘kill and dump policy’. Eight years passed that notice but still the ‘kill and dump policy’ in Balochistan continuous.
