Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) has condemned the statement of Zia Langove and has declared it misleading, deceptive and irresponsible

BHRO, is one of the major campaign groups in Balochistan, made the comments about Home minister of Balochistan Zia Langov’s statement released to media regarding the missing persons.

The spokesperson of Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) issued a statement in the response of BBC report about the discovery of mutilated bodies from Balochistan and their burial without identification. He said “In the last 26 months, 131 mutilated bodies were found from all over Balochistan who were buried without identification. The burial of bodies without identification is concerning for the families of victims of enforced disappearances and such inhuman incident are inflicting serious pain to the families”.

The spokesperson further added that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has obligated the DNA analysis of beyond recognition bodies but the government is not fulfilling its obligation which is distressful for the families of victims of enforced disappearances.

BHRO stated “The Home Minister of Balochistan Zia Langove has blamed the past government for the recovery of mutilated bodies and justified the burial of bodies without identification by non-cooperation of families is the distortion of truth. For last many years, families of victims of enforced disappearances are struggling for the safe recovery of their loved ones from the platform of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons and demanding from the government to produce their loved ones in court and allow them to practice their legal rights but these just demands were always ignored.

Baloch Human Rights Organization and Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, for last many years, demanding the DNA analysis for the beyond recognition bodies recovered from Balochistan but past governments have rejected our just demand. In a situation where thousands of people are forcefully disappeared by forces, burial of beyond recognition bodies without identification and declaring them orphans is serious violation of human rights and silence of national and international human rights organizations show lack of seriousness towards human rights violations of Balochistan.

Spokesperson of BHRO said “We appeal to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Government including human rights organizations to investigate the recovery of mutilated bodies and their burial without identification and take measures on immediate basis for the identification of bodies so that the families of victims of enforced disappearances get relieve.
