Unknown motorcyclist attacked two women with acid on Friday in Quetta

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, an unknown motorcyclist attacked two women, a mother and a daughter, with acid on Friday night in Quetta . As a result of the attack, both the women sustained severe burns.

Farzana and her daughter, Kiran, were attacked near Railway society where they used to teach children of government officers. The culprit was waiting for the women when they were returning home.

Both the women were rushed to Bolan Medical Hospital where they were provided initial treatment. Hospital sources told us that the women had sustained burn injuries on their face and hands.

According to the Police, the assailant fled the scene after the attack, and the motives behind the attack are unclear.

Meanwhile, a video of the victims circulated on social media, where women could be seen suffering from acid burns on their faces. Social activists condemned the attack and demanded justice for the women.

However, acid attacks are not new for a city like Quetta, many women have been attacked with acid in the city and no culprit has been arrested since.
