Military operation, that started days ago in Bolan, has further been intensified, the latest reports suggest.

According to local TBP correspondent, intensification has been observed in the military operation, which started last month in different areas of Bolan, as Pakistani forces raid more localities.

As per the latest reports, Pakistani forces have cordoned off Ghurbok, Sangaan, Buzgur, Sor Garh and Yakho, the mountainous areas of Bolan.

There were reports of military movement in the region since last three days, however, now the military offensive has properly begun.

Some sources confirmed shelling by helicopters in various areas. Blasts have also been heard.

These areas are frequented by livestock owners as the weather is relatively warmer at this time of year. This has greatly increased the chances of civilian losses in the area.

Locals have alleged in past that civilians are mostly targeted in such operations.

Last year in August, in one such military operation at least 17 people, including 5 women and children were killed in Shahrag, Harnai. Political organisations alleged that innocent civilians were targeted in ‘revenge attacks’.

However, Pakistani forces claim the operations are carried out against miscreants that target Pakistani installations.
