A man was killed by armed persons in Soorab town of Balochistan on Friday

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, unknown armed men shot dead a person in Soorab area of Balochistan.

The deceased has been identified as Wazir Khan.

Armed men successfully escaped the scene. Police arrived after the incident and took the dead body to the civil hospital.

‘Victim was a resident of Bajod area of KPK and had been doing business in Soorab for a long time’ Police said.

Responsibility of the target killing has been claimed by United Baloch Army (UBA), a Baloch armed group.

Mazar Baloch, spokesman of UBA, said that “Wazir khan Musa Kheli was a an official of Military Intelligence (MI), an intelligence agency of Pakistan army, and had been active in a death squad group led by Shafeeq Mengal in Soorab, Gidar, Marap, Shoor Parod, Besema and Siah Kumb areas since 2013. Other members of this network will be targeted soon.”
