Saudi Arabia will be considered an enemy if it joins hands with China and Pakistan, Dr. Nazar said.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Baloch nationalist leader Doctor Allah Nazar Baloch said in a statement on Friday that Saudi Arabia’s announcement of partnership with Pakistan and China for CPEC is violation of international laws about investments in a disputed region.

“Balochistan is an occupied territory in which any country’s investment is infringement of international laws regarding occupied and controversial regions,” Dr Allah Nazar, leader of Balochistan Liberation Front said.

“By investing in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, Saudi Arabia is not only being involved in Baloch genocide but in the development of Wahhabism in the region and trying to demolish our secular society and religious tolerance,” Dr Nazar said.

He added that Saudi Arabia will also face the negative effects, since Balochistan is a war zone, Baloch people are sacrificing their precious lives to defend their land and in such circumstances if Saudi joins hands with China and Pakistan, it will be considered an enemy like them.

Saudi Arabia has signed three agreements of grant to strengthen China funded multi-billion dollar project, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Pakistan’s Information Minster confirmed on Thursday.

Addressing a media conference, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that three agreements of grant have been signed and a delegation of Saudia Arabia will reach Pakistan on Sunday.

“Saudi wants to bring a major investment in CPEC”, he said while not disclosing the details of the grant agreement.

On other hand, CPEC, with a large portion of its corridor passing through Balochistan, is facing high resistance by Baloch freedom fighters.

Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibilities of multiple attacks this week on Pakistani forces deployed to protect the Chinese project.

In August this year, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had carried out a suicide attack on Chinese engineers in Dalbandeen. At least three Chinese engineers were killed in the attack. BLA had said it will carry more suicide attacks if China fails to quit Balochistan.

The recent entrance of Saudi Arabia in the project has also attracted criticism by Baloch political parties.
