Another person was allegedly abducted during raids conducted by Pakistani forces in Kech district of Balochistan.

According to details received by the Balochistan Post, a person has been forcibly disappeared in a raid on a house in Dasht area of Kech district.

“Pakistani forces raided the house, harassed women and children and took a man to an undisclosed location after arresting him,” local sources said.

The abductee has been identified as, Riaz s/o Usman, who is a resident of Dasht.

It is pertinent to mention that more than two dozen people have been gone missing in recently launched operations and raids by Pakistani forces in Kech district over last two weeks.

Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abduction’ have also been reported.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the ‘perpetrators of illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
