A bomb blast in Neemargh Kalat has killed brother of a tribal leader affiliated with Balochsitan’s ruling party BAP or Balochistan Awami Party.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, a man riding a motor bike was targeted with a remote-controlled bomb near Neemargh area of Kalat district on Friday. He died on the spot.
He was later identified as Mir Sarfaraz Sasoli, brother of BAP leader Mir Rahim Sasoli.
Local administration rushed to the site of the blast for investigation, whereas, the deceased was taken to hospital. The dead body was later handed over to the party.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Baloch armed groups accuse Rahim Sasoli of heading a government-backed militia. He survived a bomb attack by BLA in 2015.
In past, Baloch pro-independence armed groups have claimed responsibilities for many attacks in Kalat district.
