Mother of a ‘missing person’ tried to set herself ablaze in a court-room in Karachi.
According to the details, elderly mother of a missing person sprinkled petrol on herself in an attempt immolate her inside a court room of Sindh High Court. However, the security personnel present in the court-room foiled her attempt.
The women, whose son Faisal is missing since 6 years, protested loudly in the court before making the attempt.
She said that her son was picked up six years ago in front of many witnesses but he hasn’t been released since.
The court of law expressed ‘serious concerns’ at failure of authorities to produce missing persons.
Justice Naimat Ullah, a judge at the court, expressed concerns in his remarks and said that the police officers do not know the first thing about an investigation and submit very outdated useless reports.
He urged senior police officers to investigate the issue themselves.
The court ordered to produce missing persons Muneer Ali, Rafeeq, Owais, Mohammad Faisal, and others before the court by 5th September 2018.
