Karima Baloch has stepped down from the position of BSO-Azad chairperson in organisation’s 21st council session.

According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, the first day of the council session commenced with two minutes silence for the martyrs of Balochistan

Session formally commenced with the starting speech of Chairperson Karima Baloch, which was followed by discussion on other agendas including organisational report and the constitution.

In her message, Karima Baloch congratulated the whole cabinet for strengthening the organisation during difficult times. She said BSO-Azad is now in a strong position to be led by the next generation.

Commenting on international politics, she said that the world order is changing and the Baloch nation should also keep abreast with the developments. “fascist powers are rising again and are trying to disturb world peace. It is very important to understand the difference between fascism and nationalism” Ms Baloch added.

Karima Baloch said that if we want emancipation from Pakistan’s mullah-military politics, then we have to compete with them on social, educational and political battlegrounds.

In her concluding message, Karima Baloch said that though I am parting from from BSO Azad, but it will remain a part of my identity throughout my life, and I cannot be more thankful for that.

Karima Baloch was the first ever head of any nationalist Baloch organisation. Ms. Baloch was affiliated with BSO-A for more than a decade and elected as BSO-Azad’s chairperson in 2015. She also appeared on BBC 100 Women list of 2016.

According to a statement released by BSO-A, further proceedings of the session will continue tomorrow.
