A Baloch engineer who graduated from University of Engineering and Technology Taxila has been picked up by Pakistani security forces from Quetta.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, Engineer Faisal Sheikh, who was a lecturer at Polytechnic College Quetta, was arrested and taken away by personnel of security forces from Bolan Medical College hostel. The incident happened on 3rd June 2018.

According to Engineer Faisal’s close friends, the ‘abducted’ Engineer was a very bright student at UET Taxila and had opted to serve students of Balochistan after graduating from engineering university..

It is not clear why Mr. Sheikh was picked up, however, Creative Association of Engineers has said that he hasn’t been heard of since his arrest, a common occurrence in Balochistan where secret services routinely pick up Baloch youth.
