The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released the identities and profiles of seven fighters it said were killed in a drone strike on a temporary hideout in the Pardan area of Balochistan’s Panjgur district in January.

The group identified those killed as Abdul Ghafoor alias Chakar, Imdad Baloch alias Nodh, Hafiz Mumtaz alias Zeerak, Hafiz Zaid alias Sagaar, Yasir Baloch alias Ajiz, Shahjan alias Sawad and Ali Raza alias Shayhaq.

In a detailed statement, the BLA said Chakar, a schoolteacher from Kashani Bazaar in Gwargo, joined the group in November 2025 and became part of a patrol unit after completing military training.

Nodh, a resident of Gramkan who joined in September 2025, served as a light machine gunner and took part in road blockades and other operations, the group said.

The BLA described Zeerak and Sagaar, who joined in August 2025, as active fighters on the Panjgur front, saying both had completed physical and military training before taking part in patrols and other activities.

Ajiz had been associated with the group since 2021, initially working on its urban front before joining mountain units in 2023 and operating in Keelkaur, Gichk and Panjgur, according to the statement.

The group said Sawad joined following the first phase of its “Operation Herof” in August 2024 and took part in several attacks, adding that two of his brothers had previously been killed while associated with the Baloch armed movement.

Shayhaq, who held a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the International Islamic University Islamabad, joined in October 2024 and had experience in mine warfare, the BLA said.

The group said all seven fighters were present at a temporary hideout in Pardan when their location was allegedly exposed through a tracking device planted by informants, after which the drone strike was carried out.

The BLA paid tribute to the seven fighters, saying their sacrifices would contribute to its armed campaign for an “independent Balochistan”.
