The body of a young man allegedly subjected to torture was recovered this week in Kech district’s Buleda tehsil, marking the third such case reported in the area in recent days.
According to local sources, Yousaf, son of Abdeen, was reportedly detained on Thursday night from Kadkai Koh by Pakistan armed forces accompanied by a government-backed militia, locally known as “death squads”. His body was discovered the following day. Residents in the area described a climate of fear, saying that enforced disappearances, abductions and extrajudicial killings have become a recurring concern in Balochistan.

Earlier this week, the bodies of two other young men, also said to have been taken into custody in Buleda by Pakistani forces and their allied militias, were found in similar circumstances.
In a separate development, three men previously reported missing have reappeared. Local officials confirmed that they have returned to their families. The men, identified as Abdul Samad, son of Mayar, who was reported missing from Apsar in March; Abdul Rehman, son of Sakhi Dad, from Dudde Dasht, missing for two weeks; and Ahmad, son of Ghulam Muhammad, from Mand, missing for 46 days, had allegedly been taken into custody by Pakistani forces before disappearing.

Authorities have not issued a public statement regarding the deaths in Buleda, but local administration officials verified the recovery of the three missing individuals.
